Presenting at the Semann and Slattery Inspire conference 2025
Friday 21st March 11am workshop
The Power of Peace Pauses- Transformational Tools for Educators
In this engaging and interactive workshop, educators will explore the profound connection between movement, breath, and mindfulness to reduce challenging behaviours, enhance learning opportunities, and minimise daily stress.
Drawing on the science of the nervous system, we'll examine how our physical, emotional, and mental states are directly impacted when we are out of balance. When stress and anxiety dominate, both adults and children experience compromised interactions, thoughts and actions. This is true for everyone, regardless of age.
This workshop will give you a taste of Peace Pauses - easy-to-implement strategies grounded in movement, breath and mindfulness to create a harmonious classroom environment, cultivate emotional resilience, and restore your own well-being - fostering a space where both you and your children can thrive.
Through experiential exercises, you will experience practical, research-backed tools to regulate your nervous system, moving from a state of stress to calm in just minutes. By practicing Peace Pauses, you will discover how simple shifts in breath and movement can bring you (and your children) into a more balanced, optimal state - one that supports inspired teaching, deep listening, focused learning, and joyful play!
Presenter: Beth Borowsky is a former Montessori pre-school teacher and lecturer, and one of Sydney’s most inspiring kids and adult yoga teachers, teacher trainers and retreat leaders.
