Imagination Vacations (guided visualisations) are a powerful way to introduce children to meditation and to help reduce stress and anxiety.
To prepare:
- create a calm environment – dim lights, maybe soft appropriate music
- bring the group into a calm space with 5 Belly/Ocean Breaths
- read in a smooth and soft tone
- pace yourself - allow for pauses
Useful in:
- transition times, maybe after lunch
- before the end of day
- when you need to turn in and quieten down
